so my overall critique of nyc is it’s perfect. you’d think it would be crazy, hectic, and stressful, but the quickness of everything is very relaxed and easygoing. literally everywhere we ate was incredible (and cheap). no one mugged us or yelled at us. I only saw attractive men. I experienced more culture than I can even articulate, I stood next to a French couple as they bought broadway tickets wow. taxi rides are so much fun and probably the safest I’ve ever felt in my life (they’re so fast and precise with their driving wow, and oh btw there are no speed limits and lanes are optional lol). cross walks are great, and no one follows the rules, but everyone manages (so very zen). everyone dresses like me, or like my ideal boy. everyone has an accent and it’s beautiful. It wasn’t as dirty as everyone said it would be. there were 800 doges and I made a game out of counting the doges we saw :))) I really love nyc
